Inventory management

hello,

building an inventory management workbook and trying to link it to my point of sale sheet.

What i would like to see happen is when i enter a product into my point of sale sheet, the price of that product automatically pops up in an adjacent cell.

Does this make sense? I have entered every product into an inventory sheet. I have a single sale sheet that automatically updates my inventory level when i type in a certain product, but i still have to manually enter the price of the product. I would like it to automatically reference the value from the inventory sheet in my point of sale sheet.

I appreciate any help, and should you require any clarification on my problem please don't hesitate to ask. I'm very new to excel and don't know if i'm asking this question the right way or if what i want to happen is even possible(judging by my experience on excel so far, however, i would assume that it is).

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

To attach an Excel file to your post,

• click Go Advanced,
• scroll down until you see Manage Attachments,
• click that and select Browse,
• select your file and click Open,
• click Upload and you will see your attachment below Upload Files from a website
• click Close this window,
• click Submit reply

After that you should see attachment in your post[/SIZE]
