Looking for similar values and return separate tables / dates

    I have a document in a format

date (year-month) | page url |number of pageviews
    2017-10 | /mysite1 | 56

The data goes back 3 years.

    What i want to achieve?

Is it possible in excel to look at statistics for visits in october (most current) and check, which of them

    - were also visited in september
    - were visited in september and in august
    - were visited in september, august and july

and so on... so which one were continuously visited. And return them in a separate table? (1 table for each, visited only in oct and sept, separate for oct, sept and aug ...)

    And the second task

Look at the urls from october and in a blank cell return the date (month) of last visit (counted from current date)

    I need your help, please.

I cant upload the file here, so here is an exaple (link) https://ufile.io/htilx

Of course there are a lot more data, this is just how the structure looks like

    Welcome to the forum!

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? Nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.
