    vlookup help

My question is when I use vlookup is there a way to only get certain information back. I have uploaded a spreadsheet that mirrors what I am working on and I need to have B1 on sheet 1 say ASO not AWO. I tried doing an hlookup with a vlookup but ASO is not always in the same row.

    Re: vlookup help

Hi anogan and welcome to the forum,

If you have multiple names that are the same down column A, VLookup, using the False parameter will return the first time it finds that exact name.

    Maybe this site will help?
