I created a real estate valuation model, and tried making it dynamic meaning you'll only see data displayed for the actual length of the project
I did so by using the non-blank function - =if(A1<>",XXXXXXXXX,"") - so if the length of the project is 120 periods, only 120 columns will show data and the rest will be blank
I'm not sure if this is an overload of data for the model, but every time I change the number of periods in the project (all from one reference cell on a dashboard) - my pro forma shows #VALUE
I have a ton of circular references, which I included an "off-switch" Circularity Breaker function in each formula, so I get rid of the error by resetting the model
Wondering if there is a cleaner way of achieving this "dynamic" aspect without the data overload
