    Repeating Value Extraction

    Hi There,

Hoping someone could help me with this problem. Probably not that difficult, just cannot think through it.

So, I have a list of criteria, order numbers to be specific, on one sheet.

    A B
    3256 X
    3256 X
    3256 X
    3256 B
    3256 C
    3256 X
    3256
    3256
    3256
    3288
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583
    3583

There are thousands of repeating variables, but this is just the "head" of the data. So, if you can imagine, my column A above is one sheet (extracted from a different sheet but not important). In column B on this same sheet, I have a product, that is not unique and will repeat in column B. There are only six products, so those six products can go to the same order number on multiple occasions.... Hopefully this makes sense so far.

Now, on a third sheet, I have a list of "order" numbers as well as the "products" in two different columns, much like they are on the first sheet with the example above. The difference being is that they are not in the same order. So on this third sheet, there is a third column that I want to pull the dollar amount from. This dollar amount is shipping costs.

so on the third sheet you will have

    Order Number Product Dollar Amount

I want to pull each dollar amount from the third sheet to the first sheet but not sum the totals for order numbers on the third sheet. So, on the third sheet if you have more than one (which you will) order number, I do not want the total summed on the first sheet. I want to pull each corresponding dollar amount to the individual instance of that order number on the first sheet.

    Hopefully this all makes sense.

    Thank you,

    Miles

Attaching a sample workbook enables others to work on your problem:

To attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include BEFORE/AFTER sheets if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and click "manage attachments" to open the upload window.

Like davesexcel mentioned, it's best to have a sample file and include a 'Before' and 'After' so that we know exactly what you try to achieve.
