I have data exported from a SQL database of patient exam dates. We need to find patients who have had exams in 2016 but have not returned for exams in 2017.
Each entry for an exam contains patient name and the exam date.
Please and THank you

Try this:
=IFERROR(INDEX(Table1[PATIENTNAME],SMALL(IF(COUNTIFS(Table1[PATIENTNAME],Table1[PATIENTNAME],Table1[SCHEDULEDATE],">12/31/2016")=0,ROW(Table1[PATIENTNAME])-(ROW(A$2)-1)),ROWS(A$1:A1))),"") Ctrl Shift Enter
Drag down as far as needed.
