    Conditional Formatting wih variable values

I have a safety spreadsheet with a cell (A37) with an "IF" formula that may contain either "GOOD" or "NEEDS IMPROVEMENT" or "STOP IMMEDIATELY"
Is it possible, with either conditional formatting or otherwise, to have the cell color change depending on the Text that appears in the cell?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I know you can do it by referencing the cell that determines the outcome of your formula.

Since I don't know what your formula is I threw together a simple example.

Change the number in cell A1 from 1 to 2 to 3.

Very good skywriter I made the cell color red so when 3 is displayed it is red and the others work great
I can work with that formula
Thank you so much I couldn't get it to work myself
