    Formula to determine what milestone date code category for each row

    Hi Everybody,

    Relatively new to some aspects of Excel/VBA and I was wondering if anyone could take a look at my issue.
    My problem is that when trying to create different category codes for each row I am struggling to devise a formula that can accommodate different data dates per each column.What I need is a smart enough formula that can filter through each column identifying which code it falls into in relation to present date (05/12/17)
    I've attached a copy of the document for reviewal any guidance or solution would be much appreciated !!

    Hello and welcome to the forum.

    Try this in G3:

    =LOOKUP(TODAY(),B2:F2,H$2:H$6)
