timer to see how long a macro runs to create it as a function instead

Hi all,

I have the below code to time a macro how long it runs. the thing is that I need to create new version that will be called as a function to check the time spent.
when I run it now as a function, it will not work proper as it will just run first the function and then the rest of the macro, so, no time measured in how long the macro runs.
But I'm lost in how to solve this.
