any way to force the "Find" dialog box to close after each use?

    Unhappy any way to force the "Find" dialog box to close after each use?

    Hello all! I hope you can help.

    This is not urgent, but I was wondering if there's a way I can make the FIND dialog box close after each use? I use Ctrl+F ALL DAY LONG and a lot of the time I'm NOT looking at the screen. So I will do Ctrl+F again, paste my criteria, hit enter and.....DING! cant find it. So I constantly have to hit OK (because couldn't find) and then backspace the last word out then type in the new word again. The problem is that the LAST word I searched for is STILL IN THE BOX(because the box never closed!). If it would close, it would be great because I just paste the next word in the box and hit enter and it will find it. But it doesn't. It stays open and then I paste it and then I have 2 words I'm looking for, and of course it wont find them. I know, it sounds LAZY, but its is so annoying hearing that error ding, because I have two words instead of 1 in the box.

    Yes, it's quite easy: click on the close button or the x top right of the dialog window.

    lol, yes I know that. But I'm looking for a way for it to close AUTOMATICALLY.

    Yes, I know. But for the sake of one mouse click?

    I think you will need VBA for this, if it is possible at all, so I'll move the thread to that section for you.

    I wish it was only 1 mouse click, but as I said in my initial post, I do this hundreds of times a day, so its hundreds of mouse clicks. I often don't look at the screen when I'm moving on to the next. I just Ctrl+F and its still open and i paste my next search item and bam...won't find, because it didn't close and still has old data... >.< call me lazy, I know!!
