sumproduct formula to ignore blank values

I'm having trouble with this formula.

The problem is that the report is all text values. Great. So I use
    Formula: copy to clipboard

In this range of text values, there are blanks, throwing an error. I've tried
    Formula: copy to clipboard

but that is not an array formula.

So how would I go about fixing this formula to adjust to the blank text values?

I am confused by your description, and have attached a cut down version of what i think you are doing. if I've got it wrong, Will you please attach a SMALL sample Excel workbook (10-20 rows of data is usually enough)? Please don't attach a picture of one (no-one will want to re-type all your stuff before starting). Don't spend a lot of time explaining what doesn't work - spend the time explaining what you want it to do...

    1. Make sure that your sample data are truly REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential information is removed first!!

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells. They cause lots of problems!

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

I looked at your attachment and I think you have what I'm asking for, but the data is stored as numbers. My report comes as text.

See attached. My attached file is currently throwing out a #value error because
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    does not work.

the ranges are not the same. Change them both to 999 or whatever...

    =SUMPRODUCT(--($D$2:$D$999)*($I$2:$I$999=$K2)
