Help with SUM PRODUCT - static array value

    Hi,

I believe I need a SUMPRODUCT function to achieve this arithmetic. I never had to do this computation before so now im curious...

I have percentages of hours worked on a machine in one column. Then the MAX hours of the machine is one cell. Thus, if a data point = 50% and max hours = 10, then the result would be 5. I need to sum these results for a final value without adding helper columns.

I have attached an example of my workbook.

    Thanks for the help!

Why do you think you need SUMPRODUCT ?

    This is simply

    =SUM(E9:E15)*E6

    isn't it?

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

    All,

It appears that is correct! I hadn't realize that would work.
