Another nesting question - OR and AND

Hi

I'd like to write a formula that goes something like this...

If A1=B2 put 'Y', otherwise put N. But if C3=D4, (even if A1=B2) also put N.

It's a sequence of events such that a particular match stops the matching process further along in the sheet.

I hope that makes sense.

Try this:

=IF(C3=D4,"N",IF(A1=B2,"Y","N"))
