    substitute gives a #NAME? error

I'm getting a NAME error when using SUBSTITUTE on a text block (see attached workbook)

Not sure why this is happening. I've tried using with and without quotes around the new text but this didn't solve the problem.

    Any advice? Thanks.

Well.... with quotes, it works for me

    =SUBSTITUTE(B1,"asdfiale.dee_UIA_12OPQS",A1)
    GC Excel

You would need quotes around text. THis works for me

    =SUBSTITUTE(B1,"asdfiale.dee_UIA_12OPQS",A1)
