Re: Need formula for cumulative total

    .
    In D3 enter
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Click on D3, click and hold on small dot lower right hand corner, drag down to D6.

Click on EXCEL BUTTON, upper left hand corner.

    Click on EXCEL OPTIONS

    Click on FORMULAS

Click on ENABLE ITERATIVE CALCULATION / MAXIMUM ITERATIONS = 1

    Click OK.

Enabling ITERATIVE CALCULATION / MAXIMUM ITERATIONS=1 has the effect of overwriting the "Circular Reference" error, and allows
the updating/adding of numbers in the same cell as the formula.

Re: Need formula for cumulative total

If you want t total that will update each time you add fresh figures to the table (adding them to what was there before), you will need VBA code. Please confirm.

Re: Need formula for cumulative total

I wont be adding to the C3. I will overwrite the C3 with next days sales. As such D3 will add only C3 with today's sales. yesterday's sales wont be added as i overwrite them with today's sales.
IF VBA can help i am ok with it.
