    Running production totals

    Hello,

    I am running a production schedule for different part numbers. Every two rows at the top, sums into a cover column. (example, D4:D5 is D15).
    My problem is that I'm trying to develop the best way to get the running totals numbers needed for production to fill the schedule and to replenish up to the safety stock number for 2/19 to 5/7 in each row.
    Of course, each week the quantity on hand changes so the numbers may fluctuate as well as the schedule.
    The top row (15) should have the numbers 0 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0
    The second row (16) should have numbers 0 18 5 19 19 15 15 19 47 41 10 22
    and so on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context. Pictures are rarely much use and no one will want to recreate your data.

    Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

    I've done as requested.

    I've uploaded the workbook as attachment schedule.xlsx

    The highlighted area in yellow is where I need results with some intructions.

    I have manually entered the results expected in the top area. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Would you check the attached, rows 36 & 37. I get a different answer in M37 to your M16 example.

    I've only added the two rows at the moment. If however the calculations are correct then it would be better to improve the formula by including an Offset function so that a common formula could be used and copied everywhere. As it is at the moment because two detail rows are required in the summary, summary formula in one row can't be copied to the row immediately below since the detail rows that need to be use are in pairs which are offset by two positions each time

    Hi, to all!

    You could try this formula:
    [D36] : =MAX(,$B36+SUMPRODUCT(($B$25:$B$32=$A36)*$D$25:D$32)-SUM($C36:C36))
    And drag it to the right and down.
