    Conditional Formatting Formula - if cell A = or > or <

    Hi All,

    Having issues with conditional formatting formulas which I hope you can help with. I have 2 questions:

    Q1: The formatting is in cell B2 which has a number in it e.g. 10. I want the cell to appear red or green depending on what cell A2 has in it.

    If A2 <10 formatting in B2 is red - I can write this formula without issue.
    If A2 = or is > 10 formatting in B2 is green - Having major problems writing this formula.

    Q2: Then I have a total cell (B6) which needs red, amber or green conditional formatting. So cells B2, B3 and B4 are all green but cell B5 is red. I need cell B6 to appear amber because one cell in the total is red. Any clues on how to do this?

    I'm using Excel 2013.

    Thanks for your help.

    Your second formula:

    =A2>=10

    You cannot do anything based on the colour of a cell without VBA unless you work with the underlying values.

    Thanks Ali. I knew the second formula was something simple. Couldn't see for looking!
    Also thanks for the heads up re VBA. May go that route.
