Vllookup help...

    Vllookup help...

    Ok, so what I want is column L to give me the total days (column F) for Time Off Type "Vacation"(Column C) FOR THE corresponding Employee from Column B & J...
    so for example, Employee 1 would come back 0, Employee 6 comes up 1, Employee 11 would come back 2, etc....

    is there a reason column J is a named range? I think it's difficult/impossible to run a VLOOKUP on that value because it refers to a range instead of a single value. It might make sense to create a different sheet "equaling" the named range (but not naming it) such that it won't be part of the range and the VLOOKUP will work.

    Hi major,

    Looks like you need a SumIFS() instead of VLookup.. See the attached.

    SumIFS not VLookup.xlsx
