Your example is a bit misleading - you just happen to have enough blank rows between each item of data to accommodate the number of repeats that you require.

I would imagine that you have a contiguous block of data (e.g. in column A), and against each record you would enter in column B the number of times that you want it to repeat - the expanded list of data would then appear in a different column (or even on a different sheet). Is that more representative of what you have?

In that case you can put this formula in G3:

=IF(E3="",G2&"",IF(F3="","",E3))

then copy down. I wasn't sure what you wanted to show for "Z".
