    Time Formatting or Trimming?

    Hello All
Attached is a file that I have come to a brick wall with. I always have a difficult time with time and formatting, so I am hoping for some help.
You will see in Column B the time is listed from a data set I am analyzing. On the "pivot table " tab, you can see how the times are listed, but not chronologically , because ,I think , seconds have been added to any time that has an hour in double digits. I am sure this is due to the way the data has been extracted from the source, but I have no other choice. So my question is.....Is there a way to delete the seconds, which in turn ( I hope) will allow me to sort in true chronological OR is there another way?
    Thanks in advance

    No file attached ...

Attach a sample workbook (not image).

Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate.

Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

just format column A as "h:mm AM/PM" (without ") if you do not want seconds displayed

Thank you John ! 1 thing though, I would have thought that the time of 8:00 Am would have been first and so forth, but 1:00 PM shows first in the list
    Any insight?
    Thanks again

the times in the terry21 sheet are all text
if you put a title in d1 an in d2 copied down
    =TIMEVALUE(B2) format as you desire

and used column D in your pivot, you should get what you want
