    Copying a forumula down

    Hi

I have a formula in excel going down like below

    =BP10
    =BP12
    =BP14
    =BP16
    =BP18
    =BP20
    =BP22
    =BP24
    =BP26
    =BP28

I am trying to copy the same formula down further in the same sequence but when I highlight the above and double click it starts again from =BP20 and not =BP30 like I thought it would

Can anyone help please? what am I doing wrong?

    thanks

    lots of ways, one is:
    =INDEX(I:I,ROW(A5)*2)

Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry I'm not sure what I do with this, does it go in the row below my formulas?

    Re: Copying a forumula down

    my appolgies
    =INDEX(BP:BP,ROW(A5)*2)

in the cell you want bp10 in put the above formula

    row a5=5
    5 x2 =10
so the 10th value in column BP value of BP10

copy it down the next cell 6x2=12 value of BP12

    etc
    etc
