    Help with VLOOKUP multiple columns

    Hi folks,

I was wondering if you guys can help me out. Please refer to the attached file. In the attachment, on the second sheet, I have a list of all ULD types and ULD numbers with their tare weights depending where the ULD falls in. For example, when you look up AKE54470 on that list, the tare weight is 70. Hope I made sense.

Now, that trouble I am having is when using the VLOOKUP formula when looking up two items to get the tare weight, the formula is not working. I tried a few formulas however they were not working out. I've tried using the CONCATENATE formula for an easier lookup but that doesn't work. Either way, I end up getting the wrong tare weight or an #N/A result.

    Thanks for the help

    =lookup(c4,uldlist!$c$3:$c$117/(uldlist!$b$3:$b$117=$b4),uldlist!$e$3:$e$117)

Thanks for the help. I've tried the formula and works great. I have a questions:

1). how to hide the #N/A result? Its not a big deal if it is seen but I figure it would look more cleaner without it.

    Hi Boredworker,

Sorry for the late reply. Adding the iferror function worked. Not the file look a bit more cleaner. Thanks

Expanding in what I am trying to do, what would the LOOKUP formula be if I were to include cell D4 into the formula that is already in cell E4?
I asked because NH has some ULD numbers that are the same as DS,CI, etc. but in different ULD type and I don't want the formula in column E to insert wrong tare weight.

I was thinking of a IF/THEN with a VLOOKUP formula but that wasn't working out and I also tried inserting a

=if(D4=0,"",vlook).............)) and that wasn't working either. I've attached a revise file to this post.
