Set cell format as proper character case

    Good afternoon,

I am trying to set a cell format to always show text as proper case without having to use the PROPER formula. I have a column which has data pasted into each day, and I would like it to appear as proper by default after pasting, since some of the source data comes all caps. Is there a way to just set the format of the cell that way instead of having to run PROPER?

    Thanks!

Would a helper column and PROPER() work for you? E.g.: Cell A1 = PROPER(B2), then pasted your data into B2?

There is no proper case formatting option. You can either use the PROPER function, or use VBA to do it automatically for you.

I was trying to avoid any extra columns.

Would you be familiar with code that may accomplish this?

Sorry, my strong suit is not in VBA. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you with that.

Not I, but I'm sure someone will help you if it's possible, and it sounds like it is. Best of luck!
