Conditional format row, copy formula to all rows

I would like to run a conditional format which will turn a row RED if cell C3 in the row has "N" in it.

i can get this working with the "use a formula rule" and entering Formula : =$C$3 = "n" with the applied to as ="$A$3:$C$3"

I would like to copy this down the sheet changing the cell to check each time to C4, C5, C6 extract with corresponding rows changing when there cell is RED.

I have tried a number of ways, removing $ sign, copying and pasting special but cannot get it to copy down. It always copies with reference to the first C3 cell

I have attached a working example with sheet 1 showing one row working and sheet 2 showing what I want to do but I have entered this manually

I have tried this but then all the rows will turn RED when C3 = n

What I am trying

if C3 = n then row 3 turn RED
if C4 = n then row 4 turn RED
if C5 = n then row 5 turn RED
.....etc:

I could enter this as individual conditions but this will be to much to create

Ok got it working as you said. i think I still had my old rule running. works a dream thank you
