Change Status Depending on Populated Cells

    Hi,

I'm trying to change the status in Cell F4, 5, 6 etc. based on whether cells I, J, K, L, M or N are populated (i.e. a date is in cell I4 then in cell F4 the status would be "Programmed", then if Cell J4 has a date the status will change to "Letter Sent")

    Anyone had a similar requirement?Capture.PNG

Post a sample spreadsheet with expected results, remove any sensitive data, create a mockup example if necessary.

Use the Go Advanced option at the bottom of the page then scroll down to Manage Attachments as the "paperclip" method does not work on this forum.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

This proposed solution employs helpers, which have been placed in row 1048576 for demonstration purposes.
The helpers state the names of the statuses, aside from completed, in the columns corresponding to the column header in row 3.
The array entered formula* that populates the 'Current Status' cell is:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

*Array entered formulas are confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.
