Creating a set of Cllapsable columns in sheet

    Hi All,
    I'm useing Excel 2010.
In 2011 I created Cashflow Work Book. In it I created a number of colapsable column blocks, which were depicted by a line above the columns, ending in a "-" icon at the end of the line. These blocks could be colapsed or expanded by cliking on the "-" or "+" icons.
The Problem: how did I do this.
    Please give me a hint?

    Cheers
    Steve

I'm not sure about 2010, but in 2013 you select the rows or columns then go to the Data tab and select Group/Ungroup.

Outlining is what you are looking for indeed

Also have a look at Custom views. after you created groups you can use those to make a few "presets" of many used layouts of your sheet

especially useful if you want to hide / unhide several groups depending in the desired view
