How to make a matrix with outcomes of a formula with 2 variables?

I have a formula with 2 variables. I want to make a matrix with the outcomes of the formula with the variables. For instance: variable A has 3 values and variable B has 5 values. Then the matrix has 3x5 outcomes. I already tried the IF THEN formula in the matrix cells, but if the IF THEN formula in the matrix cell is not relevant, it gets an unwanted outcome (like UNTRUE).
Is a simple method available for this question?

Solved by making a datatable via: Data -> What-If analysis ->Data table (see also Youtube: "Create a Two Variable Data Table").

I have attached a simple example. It would help to have your formula. I have just used a simple addition formula. You don't need IF/THEN, you just have the formula in each cell refer to the appropriate values from the first column and first row. Using $ to lock in the row and column respectively allow you to enter the formula once, then copy through the whole matrix without retyping each time.
