VLookup Works for Month, But Not Day of Week (workbook attached)

Hello all!

I'm new here, but have been sinking my teeth in more and more to Excel everyday through my job. My boss and I are both stumped on this - I'm tracking some revenue that will be entered in daily, and I wanted to roll it up into totals by month and totals by day. The VLookup I did for the months works smoothly, but I used the same formula and tweaked it for the days of week and it's not pulling anything.

I feel like there's a simple explanation here that's going to make me look a bit silly, but I'm just not seeing it. Can someone take a look?

Not sure why you are imbedding a VLOOKUP inside the SUMIF. Just use...

AB3 copied down =SUMIF($A:$A,AA3,X:X)

AB14 copied down =SUMIF($B:$B,AA14,X:X)
