Count names In a column and create table

Hi

I am trying to make a sheet for a darts league I am in and am getting stuck at one part.

I want to make a column for people who hit 180's. There are hundreds of members and don't have a full list of names was hoping there was a way I can just enter a name in the column then it adds up how many time that name appears then creates a table showing who has most.

Post a WORKBOOK. Nobody wants to type data from a picture or paste text from your post into a spreadsheet as a prelude to helping. To attach a file, click Go Advanced below the text edit window, scroll down and click the Manage Attachments link, browse to the required file, and then push the Upload button, then Close Window to return to your post. (The "paper clip" icon for attachments is not currently working.)

At the moment I dont have a workbook as I like to write down what I need and how I go about doing it and as soon as I hit this stump I been googling like crazy to find an answer and got nowhere.

Will crack on with it and will upload as soon as I can.

Sandy666 thats spot on. I thought it would be pivot table but when I was trying it it wasnt working.
