how to use countif across mulitple columns

hi


i have a spreadsheet with some array formulas to calculate unique values across multiple columns, when i use count if and use the cell with an array formula as the criteria and when the range is empty, it counts the empty cells in the table.


i have added a sample sheet as an example

how do i use the countif function without it counting blank cells.


it wont let me upload the file as its too big, ive tried comporessing it, but it doesnt realy compress very well.

Didn't open the link, but have you tried adding COUNTBLANK to the formula?

no i havent, i thought that was to COUNT blank cells

Count the blank cells and subtract them.
