    Dropdown Lists

I have created a drop down list with over 800 items. I am trying to make a drop down box that allows the user to type the fist letter of an item on the list and it will take them to that section. For example if you are looking for the name Mike you can type the letter M and it will take you to all of the names that start with the letter M. Is this possible ??

An alternative would be to use a combobox instead of data validation, which has this feature built-in.

    Re: Dropdown Lists

Is there a way to have the list on a different sheet for a combo box?

    Re: Dropdown Lists

I believe that you would use the qualified address for the list:

    Sheet2!A1:A5

If that doesn't work then you can define a named range for it and use the name.
