Max of Values

Hi All,

I am trying to find max of 1-Low, 2-Medium, 3-High in excel sheet

for for example column C is:
2- Medium
3- High
1-Low
2-Medium
3-High
The Value in Column D should be max of all above values which is 3-High

How can this be done? I tried max function but it doesnt work.

Thanks for reply.
But it gives the result: "2-Medium" not 3-High but the highest value is high

array entered means enter with Ctrl+Shift+Enter

Ahh okay. But it still gives "3-Medium" , not "3-High". Strange
