    [SOLVED] Index / Match

    Hi Folks

    I hope you can help. I have a sheet with two lots of info on: list of employees in the union; and a list of all employees their schedule group. Both lists include their employee numbers.

    I would like to display the schedule group from the Employees Tab on the Union2 Tab.

    In other similar sheets I have used INDEX and MATCH to display info from one sheet on another using the employee number as the common. For some reason I cannot get it to work on this spreadsheet.

    Can anyone help please?

    Re: Index / Match

    F2=IFERROR(INDEX(Employees!I:I,MATCH(C2,Employees!A:A,0)),INDEX(Employees!I:I,MATCH(C2&"",Employees!A:A,0)))
    Try this and copy towards down
    Employee No in Employee sheet are in text format, so that you are facing that problem
