Conditional Formatting Copy & Pasting

Hi Everyone,

I am creating a spreadsheet containing approx. 500 rows.

One of the columns is related to an adjacent column and changes colour based on a value being entered, in keeping with the four Conditional Rules shown in the 1st attachment. (capture_30062018_133422.jpg)

I have tried using the Format Painter method of copying and pasting, but get no result, (other than the colour of the copied cell but with no functionality) although the conditions appear in the CF Manage Rules section - 2nd attachment. (capture_30062018_134941.jpg)

Could someone please tell me where I am going wrong as I don't have a great deal of hair left to pull out.

Try changing the formula to;
=$E9...rather than =$E$9....
Also just have the Applies to field include the entire range rather than two different ranges depicted in the 2 images.
I use tables with conditional formatting and any new rows will automatically inherit the CF rule without needing to copy and paste formatting.
