    Condition Formatting: How to highlight the most highest/lower value based on criteria

    Criteria:-
    C1: If Remark = "Short", select the highest value between Data 1 & Data 2.
    C2: If Remark = "long", select the lowest value between Data 1 & Data 2.
    The selected value to be highlighted in yellow color.

    This is really confusing.

    You column D has cell references randomly, and they don't match your rule.

    For example. In cell D2 you say to highlight C6. B6 says "Short", so according to your rule, A6 should be highlighted!

    I'm obviously missing something, so explain some more.

    I was typo on column D.

    With the 'Applies to:' set to non-contiguous range. =$A$2:$A$13,$C$2:$C$13

    and "Use formula to determine which cells to format" use this formula for "Short"
