Result calculation with multiple parameters

Hi guys,

I'm doing a sheet to calculate result for fishing matches.

It's a competition with the rule that the worst result can be dropped out of the total.
I have a formula for this but it doesn't seem to be working the way it should.

Conditions:
- 4 matches
- for each match the highest weight gets the lowest points.
- In the end the lowest points wins the competition.
- The worst result in points will be excluded from the result in both points and the corresponding weights.
This last one should pretty much be in the sheet but for example if in the line of fisherman A at the second match I fill in points above 1 the formula says N/A.
It appears to originate when filling in points above the highest so far.

Optional conditions if possible:
- If 2 matches are equal in points and the lowest then drop the worst weight out of the total

I was hoping that anyone here could possibly help me out.

Thanks a lot

Re: Problems getting formula right

Please take a moment to read the forum rules and then amend your thread title to something descriptive of your problem - not what you think the answer might be. (think google search terms?). Once you have done this please send me a PM and I will remove this request. (Also, include a link to your thread - copy from the address bar)

Many members search our previous posts, and thread titles play a big part of the search. I doubt anybody would do a search based on your title?

To change a Title on your post, click EDIT POST then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

(note: this change is not optional )
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Re: Result calculation with multiple parameters

I'm going to assume the title change is OK.

If I've interpreted correctly:

Try in N2 and fill down.
Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Then in O2 and fill down.
Formula: copy to clipboard
