Help to create an autofil cost

    Hi All,

I have been pondering this for over a year with much research but no formal help.

I am a lighting designer and work with luminaire schedules a lot. Lists of fittings with a reference no. e.g. AA or AB or BA etc... with a counted summary at the bottom. (using the formula =SUMIF(C:C,"Aa",I:I))

At the bottom, the counted summary, it would be great if i can put a cost next to the 'AA' for example then all the AA fitting above automatically see that cst on that line and autofil their costs.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Let me know if you need me to explain furtherLuminaire Schedule Example.jpg

Look into INDEX MATCH or VLOOKUP. Or read the rules and upload a sample

Re: Help to create an autofil cost

Where do you need the results? Starting cell?
Your unique price per criteria is located where? starting at row 28, which column?
Your unique criteria are located in row 28, A column?

Upload a small sample. To do so click Go Advanced below the text edit window, scroll down and click the Manage Attachments link, browse to the required file, and then push the Upload button, then Close Window to return to your post. (The "paper clip" icon for attachments is not currently working.)

I have uploaded a sample as per your instructions.

I have also typed some instruction in the excel file.

    Hopefully that makes it clear
