VLookup Help

    VLookup Help

    I'm using VLookup to convert a zip code into the corresponding county location.

    =VLOOKUP(K2, A$2:E$1061, 3,FALSE)

    The zip codes in my data set have a hyphen at the end, and I thought that was why my VLookup command wasn't working; I used =IF(RIGHT(J2,1)="-",LEFT(J2,LEN(J2)-1),J2) to trim off the hyphen (if it was present--some didn't have it). However, it still isn't finding the zip codes in the list.

    I got the first entry to work by manually deleting the hyphen, and then it works as it should. How can I get VLookup to work without deleting a hyphen from ~7,000 data points?
