I need help with a Sum Formula

Can anyone help me with a sum formula for Excel?
I have a column with a series of Order Numbers from my client, lets say about 100.
Some of the order numbers are the same so lets say 65 of them are unique and the other 35 are doubles or triples etc as per the example bellow.

94600
94655
94666
94666
94666
94666
94689
94691

The reason some order numbers multiply is that the spread sheet also shows what items were ordered and so one order might have 4 items on it, hence the repeat in numbers.

Is there a sum that will add up the unique numbers only and not the doubles?

I guess another way of putting it is I what excel to tell me is how may orders came through in a month so readers of the spreadsheet can see that out of the 100 numbers in that column, there's actually only 65 orders, not 100.

I suppose they changed the title from "Excel Sum Formula" to "I need help with a Sum Formula".
I imagine this may not be enough and we are looking for something more like "Summing of unique items in a list" or "A sum that includes only items where value changes".
(Side note -the poster should also consider if this request is a robust approach.)
