Question Conditional Formatting Formula - Over budget visualisation

I have a personal finances / budget spreadsheet.
I have my categories of spend in rows, and a weekly breakdown of what was spent in that category in the columns.
    A screen shot is attached.
I have created a column (B) to set my budgeted amount.
    A screenshot is attached. OverBudget.PNG

I want to use conditional formatting (gradient fills) to show(highlight) amounts that are OVER the budgeted amount.
The higher the percentage over the budgeted amount is, the longer the fill.

What is the best way to do this please?

Re: Conditional Formatting Formula - Over budget visualisation

Start by selecting the cells to be conditionally formatted in row 7.

Next navigate the excel ribbon Home > Conditinal Formatting > Data Bars > More Rules.

    In the pop-up box:-

Select a rule type:- Format all cells based on their values.
Minimum / Type:- Change the dropdown from automatic no number.
Minimum / Value:- enter the formula =INDIRECT("RC2",0)
Set the appearance options based on your prefefences. Then click OK.

Copy the cells in row 7 that you have now applied the conditional formatting to.
Select the rest of the range to be conditionally formatted, from row 8 downwards.

Go to pastespecial (Right click context menu, or Ctrl Alt v). Select 'Formats' and Ok.
