Calculate VAT off Selling Price and Show in HTML Email

Im looking for a way to show the breakdown of VAT within an email I send -

Total Price £ - I HAVE THIS
VAT 20% £
Net Price £

Currently, my system allows me to use "drop-in" codes for address, date, invoice etc but I don't have a drop-in code for the vat (or net vat). I have one for the "total paid"

Help gratefully received.

Good afternoon somerset-uk

With UK VAT at 20% :

To calculate net from the selling price, multiply the selling price by 0.83333 (1 / 1.2 = 0.83333)
To calculate VAT from the selling price, multiply the selling price by 0.16666 (0.2 / 1.2 = 0.16666)

By and large, the two resultant figures should add up to the selling price.
Occasionally, they may be out by £0.01 due to roundings, so you will need to build in a check for this.

TY but its a formula for calculating that WITHIN HTML that Im after.

I have the excel code but is there a way of using that within html coding? - if JS is needed can it be contained within the HTML
