Creating Drop Down that will select the correct data

    Hi All,

Please see my attachment. I have all the data that I need, but can't quite come up with the correct way to represent it.

I have a list of 'Teams'. These range from 'Team A' all the way to 'Team L'.

Each team has a different set of values, for each separate distribution list.

I want to be able to select each team (whether they are at home or away) from a drop down to face off against one another, and have another drop down where I can choose which distribution list each team will use.
This will then populate the correct data into my table.

In the spreadsheet example - 'Team A' is at Home to 'Team E'.
'Team A' will be using a 'Negative Binomial 2' distribution and 'Team E' will be using a 'Poisson' distribution.
'Team A' to win 1-0 will be F14*B45.
If Team E were to be at home then the formula for the same 1-0 to the home team would be B46*F13.
The calculation will always be multiplication between the two relevant cells.

I'm almost certain this can be done, and mightn't be that hard once you have the know how... If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

I am not clear on if you want to know how to build the drop downs in J10:J11 and L10:L11. Find them in the attached.

If you want to know how to build drop downs select J10:J11 > click Data > Data validation (Data tools group) > in Allow: select 'List' > in source: select B1:M1 > click OK. There will be drop down arrows beside each cell when active.

For the formula (I have interpreted to be in K15:P20) this
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Thank you ever so much. This works just as I need to.
I managed to create a few duplicates with a couple of tweaks to the formula to allow me to look at multiple instances.

    Brilliant work!
