Good morning ashima_singh
How have you made the tally marks?
Are they hand-written? If so, then you are probably out of luck.
If not, you need to supply a bit more information.

Please familiarise yourself with the rules before posting. You can find them here.
You could use COUNTIF to count the pipe characters, but I'm not sure how you have done the horizontal lines - is that using Strikeout?

To explain a bit Dominic's "you need to supply a bit more information.":
Will you please attach a SMALL (few rows of data is usually enough) sample Excel workbook/s? Please don't attach a picture of one (no-one will want to re-type all your stuff before starting) (especially if there are some non-standard characters).
1. Make sure that your sample data are truly REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. (If trere are typical cases like: all unique values/duplicates could occur, day/night, nobody present/several persons at once, before/on/past due, etc. - please show them all or at least indicate in text) The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.
2. Make sure that your desired solution(s) is/are also shown (mock up the results manually).
3. Make sure that all confidential/restricted information (either personal or business) like real e-mails, social security numbers, bank accounts, etc. is removed first!!
To attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down and press Go Advanced button and then scroll down and press Manage Attachments link. Now follow the instructions at the top of that pop-up screen.
Best Regards,
Kaper
If horizontal lines are done using strikeout you need to first use Ctrl+Find and go for options. And change the format of strikeout to may be five vertical lines. Afterwards you can use len or countif function.
Rule 08: Cross-posting Without Telling Us
Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without telling us about your threads on other forums.
Post a link to any other forums where you have asked the same question. If you have fewer than 10 posts here, you will not be able to post a link, but you must still tell us where else you have asked the question.
Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.
Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!
Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).
If you have less than 10 posts, do not try to copy and paste the link. Instead, type the link out in your thread.
No further help to be offered, please, until the OP has complied with this request.
