I am trying to Sum the value of a cell across all my sheets based on a value
I tried this
=SUMIF(Alex:Vita!B5:B500,Main!A4,Alex:Vita!C5:C500)
Basically A4 containes the Date on the First sheet called main
on the other sheets which are all names by employee on colloum b5 and onwards contains the date
I want to select a date on the main Sheet and the formual add all the figures in coloum c5 with the date next to it.
Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Here is the layout that I think should work for you.
Sheets listed: "Main", "Alex", "John", "Vita"

C4=SUMPRODUCT(SUMIFS(INDIRECT("'"&$G$3:$H$10&"'!D5:D500"),INDIRECT("'"&$G$3:$H$10&"'!B5:B500"),$A4))
D4=SUMPRODUCT(SUMIFS(INDIRECT("'"&$G$3:$H$10&"'!E5:E500"),INDIRECT("'"&$G$3:$H$10&"'!B5:B500"),$A4))

i try that and it just comes up with #REF
I have it working now thank you but I need to Do and extra calculation C5 formula and d4 need to be averaged excluding blanks.
