I need a formula to look at 2 lists in excel, Column B List of Names With Duplicates - Column C Grades ie 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. I need to Split Column B Names into Separate Lists for Each Grade and then check for duplicates and only add the the names ONCE to the list outcome. NOTE Column B & C are results of other formula's

Hi Chris76. Welcome to the forum.

Please upload an Excel workbook. Pictures can't be edited, and a wb lends context.

If you are not familiar with how to do this:

To attach a file to your post: (Please no pics or screenshots ... saves retyping data.),

be sure to desensitize the data
click “Go Advanced” (next to Post Quick Reply – bottom right),
scroll down until you see “Manage Attachments”, click that,
click “Browse”.
select your file(s)
click “Upload”
click “Close window”
click “Submit Reply”

The file name will appear at the bottom of your reply.

I am tried INDEX, MATCH with IF and also tried to an array formula based on INDEX and MATCH, with help from the IF function. But can't get it to work any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try array entering this formula in K3 and fill down to K22.

If you aren’t familiar with array-entered formulas array enter means the formula must be committed from edit mode by simultaneously pressing and holding down Ctrl and Shift while hitting Enter.

Then copy K3:K22 and paste into cells K31, K59, K87, K115 and K139.
