    organize table

I have a database of loans (several thousand records) in this structure:

    # date description $
    4220275 16/10/2018 repayment 1275145.48
    4220275 14/10/2018 Providing a loa 1275000

Trying to build a unified row in this structure:

    1 2 3 4 5 6 7
    # start date end date amount taking $ repayment amount $ # of days interest
    4220275 14/10/2018 16/10/2018 1275000 1275145.48 calculatedif between col 2 &3 calculate dif between col 4 &5

    thank you

As you can see the Forum has mucked up your formatting. It's hard to see what is where. Please attach a sample Excel sheet with before/after.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment. So, to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: Just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Is this realistic? Will you be wanting the results somewhere randomly below the raw data, or elsewhere? can we see a few examples, not one?

    Re: organize table

Are you familiar with the formula evaluation tool?

    Formulas/formula auditing/evaluate formula.

There are quite a few formulae there. So it might be better for you to have a go yourself, first, and then come back with issues that you don't understand. You'll learn a lot more, too.

The only irritating thing about the tool is that the box can't be resized.

If all else fails, I'll explain each one in turn.
