Trying to save input data that is formulated from a sheet where the data is erased daily

    Hello all,

Here is my situation. I have sheet one where data is inputted and calculated based upon a week worth of dates. That data is used in another sheet which I want to keep track of a quarter based upon dates. Problem that I am having is that when the data is erased it erases it on the quarterly sheet as well. Is there a way to lock that data on the quarterly sheet where it saves once its entered or do I need to figure another way to calculate it.

    Hi

    The simple solution is:-
Before erasing data go to quarterly sheet select all (click top right cell A1) copy and paste (values to new sheet cell A1) then erase and save. Subsequent copy and paste can re-use the new sheet.

This procedure could be automated with macro if desired.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

Thank You FoxSeaLady, I will do some research on the macro. I am wanting to make everything easy and automated where all that has to be done is change the begin date of the week and then input the hours data and it calculates the quarter. Will let you know what works.
