Truncating Based On A Specific Character

I have simple problem and looked around for a solution on the site with no success. Specifically, I have a list names, last name followed by a comma, a space and then the first name. I want to isolate the first name, ie. Baily, Donna returns Donna only.

The other scenario is Donna Baily - again I would like to return everything to the left of the space between Donna and Baily so that I am again isolating the first name.

Any and all help appreciated and thanks in advance.
