    Using Vlookup to populate Description of part number

    Hi,

    I'm trying to use Vlookup to populate a description for a part number and I'm having some trouble figuring it out.
    In the attached file under Dept 5812 I want to be able to put in a print number (Column O Row 20) and have it populate the description (Column D Row 20)
    The information for part number and description is under Bushing and Roll Vlook up.

    As you sheet was password protected it was pretty difficult to try out, but this should work

    paste in D20. Check if the sheetname 'Bushing and roll V look up' is exactly as it is written in your workbook.

    You could use Index+match to get the desired result.
    in D20 :

    One quick question, how do I get rid of the #N/A when there is no number in O20 ?

    Or if you have alot of entries, to reduce the slowing down of Excel, you can also use
