Calculating only the values in current month?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to make a simplified checkbook that only calculates/counts the transactions of the current month, ignoring all the past transactions. The goal of this checkbook is to be transparent to my roommates so I can screen grab the latest report that I made, and just send those to them.

I've done work on my own, but I realized that my method counts everything regardless of the month so the report chart show the grand total of everything, not only the current month.

For a better understanding, I've attached the sample file.. once you see the file I think you will understand what I am trying to achieve...

Use SUMIFS() not SUMIF()
